3D Cad/Cam Restorations
The Dr. Marco Muñoz Cavallini Laboratory uses the highest technology among Costa Rica dental clinics. We harness cutting-edge digital technology, including intraoral scanners like the Sirona Prime Scan and Sirona Omnicam, as well as 3D laboratory scanners and CAM milling machines for crafting non-metallic zirconium crowns and other dental prosthetics.
This innovative approach not only adds significant value to our products and services but also ensures affordability for our patients. Offering the finest dental crowns, bridges, and veneers in Costa Rica at the most competitive prices, we blend decades of experience with state-of-the-art technology to produce artistic pieces with unparalleled precision and quality.
Cad/Cam System
A 3D CAD/CAM solution offers precise and efficient restoration options that our patients request every day, including crowns, bridges, onlays, inlays, and full-mouth cases.
Through the CAD/CAM system, our laboratory delivers superior products. Margin lines achieve greater accuracy, and metal frames undergo meticulous inspection—these are the high-tech results we provide!
Our CAD/CAM system uses a 3D virtual touch pen, adding a human touch to the process. The milling process ensures uniformity, maintaining precise thickness throughout the design and adhering to material requirements.
The Process
Amman Girrbach & Dentsply Sirona Scanner
The process utilizing Amman Girrbach and Dentsply Sirona scanners involves several steps to achieve precise digital impressions and efficient fabrication of dental prosthetics. Initially, the patient’s oral cavity is scanned using the advanced technology of the scanners, capturing detailed images and dimensions of the teeth and surrounding structures.
- Scanning Time for a complete jaw <10 minutes
- Scanning Time for a 3 unit bridge <3 minutes
These digital impressions are then transferred to computer-aided design (CAD) software, where our dental professionals meticulously design the desired prosthetic restoration, such as crowns, bridges, or implants. Once the design is finalized, it is transmitted to a computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) system for precise fabrication of the prosthetic using various materials like ceramics or metals. The integration of Amman Girrbach and Dentsply Sirona scanners streamlines the workflow, enhances accuracy, and ultimately results in high-quality, custom-fit dental restorations for patients.
The Design
The InLab 19 program scanner captures detailed images of the material from multiple angles using advanced imaging technology. Once the scanning is complete, our technicians review the captured images within the InLab 19 interface, ensuring that all necessary details have been captured accurately.
Once satisfied, the result is saved and the technician can proceed to further processing tasks such as designing dental restorations or creating digital models.
InLab 19’s user-friendly interface and advanced features streamline the workflow, enhancing efficiency and enabling the production of high-quality results. By seamlessly integrating scanning, reviewing, and further processing capabilities, InLab 19 simplifies the overall dental laboratory process, empowering technicians to achieve precise results with ease.
